The Spree-Pension is situated amidst the historical old town of Bautzen. 1000 years of history, landmarks, myths and legends surround this city. Especially the old town of Bautzen is full of daytrips and special experiences. Discover the old Wasserkunst, the Michaelis church, the Ortenburg, the Saint Petri Dom (the oldest dual denominational church in Germany) and the Reichenturm, which is known as the “leaning tower of Bautzen”.

Bautzen is the centre of the region Oberlausitz and as a centre it is the best place for many day-excursions either you want to visit Dresden, the Saxon Switzerland, the UNESCO-reservation “Heide- und Teichlandschaft”, the Zittau Mountains, the Spreewald or rather see other attractions like the retaining lake of Bautzen or the Saurierpark Kleinwelka.
